Tesla Care
With the ever increasing lure of the electric vehicle (EV) it’s important to know how to protect your investment and maintain it properly. Although the days of your normal “oil change” visits to your automotive repair facility will be less, there are still some very important things to remember when it comes to regularly servicing your EV. For example: In winter regions like ours, Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first. Along with the brake service, rotating your tires every 6,250 miles is recommended by Tesla which will help not only with the longevity of the tires, but also the noise level they produce which can be much more noticeable in an EV.
Tesla is also particular in who they sell their parts to. Silver Lake Auto & Tire Centers are authorized to use original parts from Tesla directly in order to keep your vehicle on the road.
Having your EV inspected at least twice a year will help you stay ahead of a potential mechanical failure, and allows one of our ASE certified technicians to ensure your EV will keep on the road for years to come.
Each of our locations has Tesla Level 2 charging stations available complimentary to our EV customers to be able to have their vehicles charged after service is complete allowing for a smoother pickup process including the ability to deliver the vehicle back to the owners’ home or office. We will even ensure your Tesla’s internal whoopee cushion is functioning properly! For all your Tesla and EV service needs, please contact your Silver Lake Auto & Tire Center service advisor.
