I wanted to share a shift moving forward for our Silver Lake Auto & Tire Centers locations.

Since 2013 we have been your trusted choice to have your vehicle’s emissions test, and by now, almost all of you have come numerous times to Silver Lake Auto, crossing your fingers that you pass that test. Over those 8 years, we have worked hard to make emissions testing easy and convenient for you. We always promised ourselves that we want to make emissions testing the most pleasurable emissions test you have ever had because we believe that should be how we approach all of the services we provide. Over the past 12 months, emissions testing has been a management and staffing challenge for our organization. To this point, we have made the difficult decision to no longer be an emissions test center for the State of Wisconsin, a program we helped pilot 8 years ago. May 14th will be the last day we will be providing this service at our locations.

However, we will still be an approved emissions repair facility if you ever fail an emissions test. We will miss seeing you for emissions testing while you enjoy one of our complimentary cookies or a beverage. There will still be testing locations around the area, and you can find a list of locations at www.wisconsinvip.org. We will still be here for all of your auto repair, tire, and maintenance needs. The cookies, smiles, and beverages will always be waiting for you.
